New HOHA President: Sheba

Sheba was elected and installed as the new president of the Hoboken Harriers on June 1. Veronica, Sheba's personal assistant, sent a picture of the new president sporting a HOHA Classic t-shirt. Sheba succeeds past presidents Jack and Brooks.

12th Annual HOHA Classic 5 Mile Race

On May 16, the Hoboken Harriers Running Club and All Saints Community Development Corporation held the 12th annual HOHA Classic 5-Mile Race at Pier A Park. The race raised over $16,000, which will benefit the Jubilee Family Life Center, a non-denominational community center in Hoboken that provides job training and after school youth programs. Over 470 people completed the races, and a special thanks to everyone who helped make the event a wonderful success.

14th Annual HOHA Snowball on Saturday, February 27

The 14th Annual HOHA Snowball was held on Saturday, February 27, at the Hoboken Elk's Club. An excellent buffet dinner was catered by La Isla, and live music was provided by Swingadelic.

Over $2000 was raised which will be donated to United Cerebral Palsy of Hudson County and the Jubilee Family Life Center in Hoboken. A special thanks to everyone who helped to make this a very successful event.

HOHA-liday Party

Newlyweds Richard and Suzanne hosted the annual HOHA-liday Party this year. It was a very well attended event and closes out a very successful 2009 for the HOHAs. Many thanks to everyone who helped make it a very special night.

2009 Monmouth County Fall Cross Country Series

The Monmouth County Fall Cross Country Series has concluded its six week run for this year. HOHAs of all ages and abilities made the weekly trip to Monmouth County to compete in this long running series.

About the club...

The Hoboken Harriers Running Club, founded in 1988, is a diverse group of runners and joggers from Hoboken, New Jersey, and surrounding Hudson County. The Club, known as the HOHAs, provides runners with camaraderie and support as well as a social component through sponsoring various social and charitable events annually.

Runners of all abilities are welcome - please contact us if you have an interest in running. We do recommend that you attend a Tuesday night run for your first run with the Club.

The Hoboken Harriers running club conducts runs six days a week, with the most popular runs on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Consult our schedule, above, and feel free to come & run with us.
